The duvet is really soft and looks like my duvet. I threw it in the dryer upon arrival and it's just as fluffy. It's very light for its size. I don't think it's warm enough for winter, but very good for chilly nights. In the winter I would probably tape a blanket over it. There is a strap at the edges to which you can tie a duvet cover. I love this feature. Blankets that don't have this will end up with small fluff/cotton knots at the ends as the straps are tied to them. I want them to come in a quilted bag. It just came in a big plastic bag that I had to cut open. The bag was stuck to the box's tape, so it was cut open as well (the blanket was fine). So when I store it, it's not completely covered. It's a minor issue and I can only find a garbage bag or something to keep it dust free.
