Bought this for my 12 year old son for Christmas. I've never seen or known anything like this, but I've always liked jigsaw puzzles, so I always try to get my 4 kids interested in jigsaw puzzles. My son started making this just after Christmas but after a few tries he got frustrated because as he got past the base of the ship the pieces became a lot harder to find and place because they are sharp and three dimensional and they all start out like that to look the same. After it sat for a couple of weeks I grabbed it and we sat down and worked on it. After about 3 hours we were done and he was so happy. The more we built, the better we understood how the pieces fit together. He proudly flaunted his desk, but what I liked about him was that we had a lot to do together. He liked it so much that he brought me the brochure that came with the ship and showed me what he planned to do next and insisted on doing it himself. Just take a look.
