A bit pricey compared to other options but I bought this as a gift for a tea lover so I wanted it to be of a certain quality. It seems to be the most outstanding of the many tea boxes I've looked at on the website. It didn't disappoint! The divider is removable and the inside is lined with velvet, giving it a touch of luxury. Well made, no roughness/splinters, great color. The gold fittings are also neatly painted. The hinges and box are generally strong, although the type of wood used is not specified. Bought in Cherrywood. But he's a nice weight. Just enough heaviness so it doesn't feel paper thin. I like the L-shaped hinge used, which keeps the lid open without tipping it over. It would be great if there was an option to have no logo inside (normal) or to have the option of personalization (like engraving on the outside / adding an engraved metal name tag or changing the inside print) for gifts, but that's it just a wish list that doesn't detract from the quality of this beautiful box. I love it and I'm sure the recipient will too when Christmas comes!
