Doesn't clean well

I bought these for my 5 year old son to see how they would compare to a brush. Well I asked him to use one of those pills that stain plaque first and they didn't work as well as I expected. The teeth at the gum line were pink and tarnished and I tried brushing this thing from different angles to see if it would help - it didn't. return of this item.
