I looked at a lot of hub adapters online before deciding on this one. I bought a MacBook Pro this year after needing to upgrade my 10 year old MacBook Pro. It still works, but the time has come. I bought this hub and was thrilled when it arrived. Now I can plug it in and connect any device I've used to my old MacBook Pro in the past, as well as modern ones. I really have to remove the hub from my laptop when I put the laptop away because it barely fits in my soft bag and I don't want to risk damaging it by hitting it. The hub comes with an optional mini hub that has "Afterhub" printed on it, but I haven't found a use for it. It has two ports that connect to the laptop and two ports on the device.
