Review on AeroBon 3-Piece Painted Key Cover/ Key Fob Shell Cover Compatible With Porsche Key Shell (MK1) Interior Accessories by James Duffield

Not at all what I expected. Judging by the name of the painted cover, I was expecting something similar to the Porsche factory painted parts, you get cheap molded plastic instead. The price is a bit high for colored plastic parts and it feels cheap in the hand. I was hoping for a color closer to carmine which is a 3 layer metallic which looks perfect in the product photos provided. Is a return worth it? nope Does it do the job and make me feel bad if I manage to drop the keys and strum? Absolutely. So due to the problems with the installation and the price paid I will use it and not worry about singing a super nice OEM shell. Fortunately, while it feels a lot cheaper with those plastic caps in hand, I don't touch the key much with the keyless system, so I'll skip that little chime. or buy from Porsche if it annoys me too much 🤣. I probably would have been more impressed if the cheap production tactics weren't immediately obvious. Sometimes you shouldn't understand how well plastic is made. (Note that OEM nylon composite cases are also injection molded to much higher standards.)
