Review on πŸ”² Detecto D186 Dual Weight Electronic Bathroom Scale in Sleek Black by Lindsey Jones

Doesn't tip over and weighs other items perfectly

This is a really great scale for kids as it's thin and very close to the floor. With conventional household scales you have to stand exactly in the middle of the scale - too close to the edge and it tips over - with this scale it's different. You can stand at the very edge and it will get the correct reading and it won't tip over on you. Also, my son can crouch or bend over and get the same reading, which is amazing. These scales are also great if you want to measure something like a pet or your luggage. You simply touch the scale to wake it up, stand up to get a reading, then stand up and stand up again with whatever you're trying to weigh. Instead of getting your weight number and the item you want, the second round of weighing simply shows the weight of the item. My dog has been having some trouble eating lately and it is so satisfying that I can read anytime quickly without having to do math. What we love about this scale: - It has a large, easy-to-read LED display - It's stylish - I ordered the black version with thin white horizontal lines. The lines are not non-slip, they are for decoration only. I didn't find any of us slipping on that scale. The scale wakes up very quickly and the readings are also very fast. There is only one button on this scale (which allows you to switch between pounds and kilograms). So it's good for people who have trouble with buttons/functions. - There are no settings on these scales. Simply remove the plastic from the battery compartment that prevents it from turning on during transport, touch the scale and step on when it lights up. - It uses regular CR2032 batteries and comes with the two you need. - The scale supports up to 400 pounds of weight. Auto power off to save batteries. The quick start guide and user manual are short and easy to understand. not exactly like the scales in the doctor's office. My other scales have a more accurate range (but they tip over easily, so my son is not comfortable with them.) - There is no battery compartment screw on the bottom for children to remove and swallow the batteries. - It doesn't have many features, such as B. storing your weight in memory, the ability to send it to the application or the computer, no settings for the percentage of fat / water / muscle mass. If you are interested in such functions, you should pay attention to another model. Overall this is a great scale for my family where we don't have to be very precise and need something that works equally well for my dog and little one. It would also be good for an aging parent. A few trade-offs with simple scales - if you don't want something with a lot of features, you should look at another model.
