I have a lot of arthritis. I also exaggerated the pronates so I knew I had to improve the quality of the shoe. I switched from Vionic to New Balance. My podiatrist recommended New Balance to me and while it was convenient, it was hard to find that it would help with my newly diagnosed Achilles tendon and plantar fasciitis issues. My son is very active and recommended Brooks. I'm so glad he did. Comfortable straight out of the box, I've hardly taken them off since they arrived! Good balance, light, very soft and supportive. The best thing is that my tendon problem is almost gone. When I switch to a different hiking shoe, it starts to flicker. I only wish you could make boots. heels. sandals. Life would be so much better lol!
