Review on 📷 Huddly GO: High-Quality Video Conferencing Camera with Wide-Angle Lens, USB Plug and Play (Includes 2ft / 60cm Cable) by Darius Carraway

We are an academic lab at the University of California and were looking for a webcam suitable for conferencing. The problem is that none of the popular webcams, like Logitech's, have been properly updated on Macs with USBC, perhaps because all new MacBook Pros come with built-in webcams. Based on the specs and descriptions of what this camera can do (zoom in/out, wide angle, etc., blazing fast USB-C video), we decided to give it "webcam" despite the initially high price tag. At first we were very disappointed. We were able to use the camera in Skype but Huddly's software didn't recognize the camera. This means we couldn't update the camera's firmware and field of view selection. The wide-angle view was unusable. Also, when using Skype, the camera made a lot of noise and sometimes lagged in video transmission, as with one of the clients below. We contacted Huddly and they responded very quickly. We've gone through several rounds of troubleshooting, tried different cables, etc., but the problem hasn't been resolved. Eventually Haddley replaced the camera himself and the new camera worked exactly as advertised. Features are exactly as advertised and included All issues (noise, lag, etc.) are completely gone. If you're used to Logitech webcams or the ones on your laptops, this camera is on another level. If you're doing a lot of multi-person conference calls in a room and want to show the whole group from a wide angle, you'll appreciate the capabilities of the Huddly cameras. Just note that this camera doesn't have a built-in microphone, but for conference calls you'll probably want to get a dedicated wireless microphone anyway. Overall we are very happy with the camera and Huddly. They are based in Norway so they walked us through the troubleshooting processes and eventually replaced the camera with UPS/DHL international shipping which means they take their product and reputation seriously. We want to support such companies and wish them every success for the future.
