This is a good mattress topper, well made but the only thing I was really looking for was NOISE. And it failed miserably. I wanted a waterproof and breathable profile without that rustling noise. I tried it on my new mattress and it was loud as hell. I uploaded the video so you know it's not subjective. You can't be mean wearing this. People will know what's going on in your room. As you can see in my video I put this on first and then my linen sheet over it. If you only compare a fitted sheet with sheets and protectors, there is a big difference in terms of noise. I have no doubts that it actually protects, is waterproof, etc. By the way, the side material is a bit different than the material of the upper. I'm not sure but it definitely seems a bit softer, maybe there isn't a waterproof part on the sides?
