My introduction to this product began when a mechanic at a dealership offered me $600 to replace a broken mirror on my Altima. With this mirror, I could do it for $50. I also had the original mirror cover. So I swapped it out before installing it. I had to remove the door panel to install it and I watched several YouTube videos detailing the process. The mirror sits very well and can hardly be distinguished from the factory mirror. As someone else mentioned, there is probably a gap of a few millimeters between the plastic base and the body, but no one but me notices. I would recommend this to anyone willing to take the leap of faith and do the installation yourself.
