I'm using this with a 2018 Macbook Pro to connect a monitor, USB devices (Logitech keyboard, sometimes drives), external speakers and a 1920x1200 pixel monitor to connect. What I like: * You can plug a USB cable into your Mac and get power and all external peripherals. * The price was comparable to buying an 85W power adapter and a simple dongle. *I can use it to charge my computer when I'm working in my home office and keep the AC adapter that came with the computer in my briefcase, which saves me from being the guy in the office who starts asking if anyone has an AC adapter for the I can borrow *I was able to mount this to the back of my monitor so I could use the remaining space on my desk for papers I'll probably never look at and nerf guns. What I don't like * The dock has a power button. I'd rather have it turn on automatically when plugged into my computer and go to sleep when it's not. I know the difference in power consumption when it's on or off. It could have been in the documentation, but I didn't read it because it really didn't make sense (at least until I wondered about the power consumption with the dock off :-/)
