Review on 🔦 Optilux 1200 Oval Halogen Fog Lamp Kit by HELLA: Black Housing, 12V/55W, White - Illuminate Your Path! by Josue Porter

These fog lights work great. In fact, they are so bright (although both my headlights and these fog lights use 55w bulbs) I use them to supplement my headlights even in non-fog conditions. They illuminate the roadside very well, which is good for spotting deer and other animals along the roadside or in a ditch. In fog, they help to illuminate crash barriers and road boundaries. They have a very clear and straight edge at the top of the projection. This kit includes all wires (color coded), switch, fuse and relay. The switch can be installed anywhere on the dash where the wiring can be hidden, and the wires need to be routed through the firewall (if you've never done this before, this isn't as important as it sounds; in most Cars there is a rubber plug that is only for such modifications.) The switch is surrounded by a cool LED halo that glows red when the fog lights are off and green when the fog lights are on. The magnet is connected to the headlight, so the fog lights can only be turned on when the headlights are on. This way you won't forget to turn off the fog lights when you park your car and drain the battery. The best place for mounting is in front of the lower radiator air intake using brackets bolted to the underside of the bumper. Unfortunately, on some cars, the lower radiator air intake is aligned with the bumper, and some may have only one huge radiator air intake (instead of two: top and bottom), so on these cars you may have to remove the grille. My only complaint is that when it rains a small amount of water collects on the inside of the lens, but if I leave the fog lights on the heat from the lamp will do a good job of evaporating the water once it hits the lens. so it wasn't really a problem for me. I still think it's a great product.
