Review on Honeywell True HEPA Filter Replacement by Joshua Ford

I was so happy to find an affordable replacement filter for my air purifier here. I noticed a strange smell when I installed it just before I went to a hotel for a long weekend where my air purifier ran 24/7 for three days. I am very sensitive to chemicals and rely on my air purifiers and their filters to survive in hotels. After returning home, I turned on the air purifier and found that a very strong chemical smell came from it. I took out the R filter and found that the filter itself smelled like a horrible chemical/synthetic smell. At first I assumed the filter had picked up the hotel's faint odor. However, this confused me as this had never happened before. I'm so sorry I didn't see the previous reviews on here about these chemically fouled filters. I am frustrated that I have entrusted my health to a faulty, dangerous product and cannot understand why this could have happened even though it looked legit in terms of packaging and contents. Very disappointed!
