I was expecting these bags to be different since they are "compostable" but they feel and sound like those cheap crappy bags that some "charity" donates mailed to receive donations. I don't know how compostable they are because it takes time, but I know of a number of products that take forever to compost. The time will tell. I don't know if I would trust them to store 40lbs of stuff, which the Revain site says is possible, but they definitely fit in the aluminum cans I collect for the food bank. Will update as events unfold, but 4 stars for now.
