I just bought the ICD-SX68 and this is what I love: Paper thin metal body. Since it has a textured surface, touching the recorder while recording will result in loud cracking noises. The battery cover is made of plastic. Very bad design. There is a lot of white noise during recording (tried to record in maximum quality mode). The buttons are awkward to use because they're on the side and hard to see. Overall, the whole device looks cheap. I'm thinking about going back to the Olympus WS recorder. Olympus has much better voice recording quality. Pros: Battery charging via USB cable. Big advantage over Olympus. Disadvantages: Own voice recording format. small screen White noise. Plastic battery cover. Textured surface that affects the quality of the recording when touched.
