Update 4 months after purchase

update 4 months after purchase: 4 months it worked perfectly. However, about a week ago it randomly turned on the light when it was off (only with the fan on). Since my son likes to sleep with the fan on, it wakes him up. There's no way he can accidentally turn it on because the fan switch is too high for him to reach. Not sure if it was lemon or something but thought I'd update the review. I'll try to change the channel (the remote control and receiver are manually paired with switches. Maybe a remote control used by the neighbor is interfering?). Will update when it works. First review: I wanted to add remote control functionality to my Hunter fan. Just buying the remote is $45 at local hardware stores and on the Hunter website. The recipient would be the same. so I would have lost 90€. I BOUGHT A FAN FOR $99! (It was discounted, but only about $30 off.) I found this online and gave it a try. I'm glad I did. Same wiring, same size. The only difference is the switches they need to be paired with (you only need to do this if you have more than one such accurate remote in your house, and it's easy anyway). For the price, this is the way to go. I even prefer the remote design to my "signature" remote from another fan. I've only had it a day so can't comment on long-term reliability. But I'd happily replace it even after a few years at that price.
