There is a quality control issue and people may not test the product as thoroughly as we do. But the paintwork is applied unevenly, and in the photo you can see that it overlaps the jagged edge. This color actually came off when we grated it and it came off when we cut the food. Any cutting tool should be made of stainless steel so as not to swallow the paint. The handle was comfortable and easy for kids to use, and overall it's a glorified butter knife. The color is probably to hide the poor quality of the steel. But we come back because of a paint problem.
