When I installed the camera, I set it up by connecting directly to the router. Then I installed it outside and connected via wifi. When I connected to the app it asked for a password and the password on the camera was (blank) [no password]. I contacted Reolink support via live chat and received a call from a technician to resolve the issue. The technician asked a few questions and then asked if I had a computer on the network that he could access. I installed a program that gave remote access to a technician and after doing a few things on my computer he told me that there was malware on my network and it wasn't a secure network so I couldn't log in. to my cell. He then asked if I just wanted to fix the camera or if I wanted him to fix the malware. Of course, I said that the malware needs to be fixed. Then he told me he could fix the network for $199 with a 2 year warranty or $299 for 5 years or $499 for a lifetime. I told him it was a lot of money and he said they could fix the camera problem for only $99. Luckily I declined and the next day I remembered entering the password when I first set up the camera. I entered this password and got full access to the camera. I'm still having issues with the camera and the alerts aren't working very well. Reolink email support is trying to help me with any issues, but so far has been unsuccessful. I will say the email support was good but the phone support was a very different experience. My problems are related to motion detection and push notifications. The camera does not always send email notifications to people. Also, I haven't been able to get push notifications to work yet (Reolink is still working on this with me). Motion detection is completely suppressed by this camera. He looks at the area with the shadows of the trees, and when the wind blows, I get "alerts" every 30-60 seconds. Then after a few hours the camera should overload and I'll stop getting alarms until I turn the camera off and on again (a soft reset via the app doesn't fix the issue - it should be a hard reset). I'm still working with the settings, but so far alarms and notifications aren't very useful.
