Comparison of several hygienic lipsticks/lip balms

I have naturally very dry lips. As a child they were always split and bled dry. (Attractive, I know). Now that I'm an adult, I try to do a lot to keep my lips from peeling and flaking like the crust of a croissant. Croissants are good, but you don't want to kiss them! I would also like to note that I am on an antibiotic for acne (which is drying) as well as Rentin-A (which is also drying) and also wash my face with 10% benzoperoxide every morning (it is also drying). ). So you can imagine why my poor lips are about to bolt. I used Burt's Bees lip balm before deciding I needed something better. I've been looking for Revain for a long time and here are some of the ones I ended up buying. Vaseline Lip Therapy Creme Brulee Vaseline Lip Therapy Creme Brulee 0.25 oz. This lip balm is basically flavored petroleum jelly that comes in a tiny container. I really like that the container is small and easy to carry. The taste of the lipstick is pleasantly subtle and not overpowering. This hygienic lipstick absorbs perfectly. My lips feel well nourished for 4 hours during the day, occasionally lick my lips and eat, and it lasts every 8 hours at night (I wake up with very soft lips). Lipstick makes your lips look like you've got lip gloss on/greasy, there are times and places where that's a bad thing and a good thing. 5 out of 5 stars. Himalaya Herbal Healthcare Nourishing Lip Balm Himalaya Herbal Healthcare Nourishing Lip Balm, 0.16 oz On first application, this lip balm is very similar to chewing gum. I'm not a big fan of bubble gum flavor. If you like this taste then you might like this one. The lip balm is very easy to apply. However, it doesn't last as long as Vaseline lip therapy. You'll get about 2 hours of soft lips with daily use, and it's not exactly what you need for a night. However, this lip balm is much lighter than petroleum jelly, so your lips won't feel too oily. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. Aquaphor Lip Repair Aquaphor Lip Repair, 0.35 oz This lip balm is like a gel in a container. This lip balm got shiny/oily like petroleum jelly, but it wasn't as thick as petroleum jelly. I thought maybe it's a good thing that it's a bit thinner. However, this hygienic lipstick wore out too quickly. I have to apply this product every hour to keep my lips hydrated. It's really good for an hour but goes away too quickly. There's no smell or taste, which is good for preventing someone from getting licked (if they have that problem). Overall 3 out of 5 stars. My own lipstick, 1 part beeswax, 1 part coconut oil, 1 part shea butter. This lipstick has no flavor. Which is good for reducing lip licking. The lipstick is easy to apply, although the product inside the container gets clumpy when you use the stick down. It might seem a little strange at first, but I'm just imagining how this works as a lip scrub. The lipstick takes care of my lips very well. It also lasts quite a long time, around 4-5 hours during the day as well as all night. This is a very light hygienic lipstick that does not leave a thick greasy film on the lips. Overall 5 out of 5 stars. Burts Bees 100% Natural Lip Balm Burts Bees 100% Natural Lip Balm Beeswax 0.15 oz Pack of 4 This lip balm has a very minty, refreshing feel when you apply it. Your lips are tingling. However, this lipstick has made my lips worse, not better. After using it every few hours for a week, my lips bled and multi-layered peeling ensued. I felt like a little kid again. I researched online and found that mint (peppermint, spearmint, eucalyptus, or similar) is very drying on lips. If, like me, you have chronically dry lips, this will only get worse, not better. Not recommended for dry lips. Overall 1 out of 5 stars. The winners were Vaseline and my personal mix. Both work equally well, but glossy lip balm can only be used in certain situations. However, I am not disappointed with the Himalayan Lip Balm. I don't use Aquaphor unless I can find my lip balm and refuse to use Bert's at all anymore.
