USB port on the scanner because the scanner has no power switch, but there are two problems: 1 ) The ends of the electop are for the large USB side of the cable next to the PC, which is hard to reach. 2) When connecting, the scanner did not turn on. I have tried another electop in the package in case one turns out to be defective. The same thing. Tried between USB charger and iPhone Lightning cable, no power. So, I re-read the product description and it says no DATA is transferred. Whatever that means, the Electrops are useless to me and I had to return them to Revane. Please note that there is no sticker on the switch indicating in which position the energy flows. But if Electop works for you, you can just mark the switch with a marker.
