This is a great bookcase for a child's room. It was relatively easy to put together, although you had to follow the instructions and it took some hard work to put together. But since each shelf is a different color, it made things a little easier, similar to paint by numbers. It has quite a heavy natural wood feel and the colors are very bright and beautiful. When assembled it is quite tall and wide. I use it to place books and puzzles. I'd say it took me about an hour to put together, but I'm a bit slow when it comes to following instructions on how to build something, so I would never buy Lego for myself. But the bookshelf is big enough to hold all of my son's books, all of his jigsaw puzzles, and other miscellaneous toys that kind of magically started appearing there one by one. I would definitely recommend this kids room bookshelf if you are looking for a bookshelf and don't have a kids room design in mind but just want something playful and childish.
