I bought these for the snowball mic I have and I had a mic stand that was only vertical so I didn't get good use of my mic , when I hesitated other reviews said it couldn't handle much weight and the snowball mic was a heavy mic. Upon receipt I noticed that the mechanism holding it in place snapped very firmly so there were no issues holding it. snowball I was able to easily mount it to my existing rack as there is a 5/8 female connector on the bracket. It can also be moved 90 degrees vertically, making it easy to position the mic when I'm sitting or standing. .
