I had a favorite Charles Hubert watch for a number of years, model 3571, so I decided to give the CH mechanical watch a try. I chose the 3841-WR because it has a full dial rather than a skeletonized one; I didn't want the gears to distract me when checking the time. I think I chose the right model 3841 - an elegant, concise, beautiful watch. It's a nice solid weight and the hunt hide feature works well. The crown and yoke are at 3 o'clock, which allows me to hold it in a natural position, open it with my thumb, and view the dial in a vertical position. Wound before bed, they run all night with no noticeable difference from my battery-powered clock in the morning. I start it again in the morning and correct it around noon. I really wish there was a hack to stop the second hand so I could more accurately sync it with my other watches; Be that as it may, the second hand starts counting the moment the power appears in the mainspring. But I'm happy with my choice - the 3841 is basic but not run-of-the-mill and works great.
