I've never thought of buying a cereal container because the ants started crawling into the pantry and I wanted to seal the cereal before they got inside. This is a great container and easy to use. Holds about two large family size boxes of cereal and keeps them fresh and clean. The lid closes tightly in the container preventing insects and the lid opening easily, also appreciate the molded plastic handle that makes it very easy to pour out the cereal without digging in the box and the plastic bag found in traditional ones Cereal boxes is something seals .
