11/18/18 UPDATE again: My cat still has to wear them (all the time), so I have a lot of experience with them. I've tried other suits and came back to this one. The hole in the tail is definitely big enough for the cat to use the litter box. I have a 12 pound cat and the XS is just perfect. I made the ponytail hole slightly larger on the top (the fabric doesn't fray) and this gives her more room to hold her ponytail. I had to sew an extra piece on the underside to completely cover the lower abdomen, but that's no problem. In fact, the cat feels very comfortable in it. Nevertheless 5 stars! 11/14/16 UPDATE to my last year's review. Below is my original review. A simple fix for a tail hole that is too small. Have now ordered 5 more and received a "New Improved Version". That might be fine for some, but now the tail opening is LOTS big. It used to be a circle but now it's a huge oval and now it doesn't cover the lower tummy but just where my cat needs it. Very disappointed. I want an old version where you can just cut out a little bit of what you need. Unsatisfied! I noticed the "doesn't fit" reviews but thought I'd take a chance. My cat is 10-11 pounds and I bought the XS. Due to a chronic skin condition, she has to wear bodysuits most of the time. So here's my quick fix and you don't need to know how to sew: It's true that the front leg openings connect to the black cuffs. Even before I tried this on Penny, I took a pair of scissors and just cut 1/4 inch off the front leg holes. (Be careful not to cut a hole for the neck!) For the tail! So before I tried it on her I took a pair of scissors to the hole in the tail and didn't cut the top of the hole, just cut it into a pear shape instead of a round one. First I made a 1 inch cut in the tail. bottom center of the hole, then cut out a pear shape there. I put it on and CLOSEN it with an elastic band around my neck like a turtleneck. You are doing great! And plenty of room for them to pee and poop. You can make adjustments by trimming the fabric a little at a time. Due to the type of fabric, it does not crumble. It is well made and the material is soft. Although I had to make adjustments, I give 5 stars! I'll buy another one for her.
