So far this is a great little gadget. Worked great on my Canon Rebel T5. I had to look for an option when we found that our Canon T5 didn't have a remote control function which was disappointing. Obviously this was a cheaper option than upgrading the camera again as we only need the remote a few times a year. It looks like it was well made and worked great out of the box. It attaches to a flash mount or we tie it to a tripod when we need to use the flash on the camera. I've tested the remote all over the house - along the walls and up the stairs - it works great! I haven't tried long distances yet. We do outdoor family portraits from time to time and we've always had trouble with Canon infrared remote controls, so I think this radio version will be great! Got another one as a gift for someone else with T5! Make sure you have a cable for your camera - I think cable types can vary.
