First I have to say that this vest is really well made, the zipper is great and there are even two size options which I love. This is probably a fantastic cooling vest for another dog. My dog absolutely HATES this thing. She runs and hides and I have to pull her out and fight to put pressure on her. And she's a 70-pound husky, so it's no easy feat. Also, it's usually very soft, so I have to conclude that there's something special about this vest that it absolutely doesn't like. When it's on she's fine, she walks and runs fine, but I feel like a terrible person forcing her to do it. I ended up returning mine, but if your dog doesn't mind wearing it, chances are it will last you a long time.
