This is the fourth device that I buy. Designed for a small wine fridge drawing 1.5 amps (180 watts). The other three I have (1800w models) have been protecting a full size fridge, washing machine and gas dryer for over 5 years with no problems. Devices move with the times, the electronics of the devices remain safe. Good insurance for the price. If the voltage is too high, it will fall back to normal; If the voltage is too low, it will ramp up to normal (the front indicators will tell you it's working).
