Review on Drill Brush Heavy Duty Attachment by Elizabeth Sautner

Not impressed with household products

I've been slowly working on getting rid of dirt on my ceramic tile kitchen floors. I might not have bought a house if I knew it was going to be so difficult. I've tried all the usual chemical cleaners. The plain green removed the discoloration but not the dirty residue. I've found that a metal scraper and two-handed bristle brush works best at removing dirt. However, I can't make more than one row of tiles without feeling them the next day. Tired of this project, I started looking for a power tool solution. To my disappointment, there aren't many. Just a brush or scotch-brite drill. Since the brush works best for me, I ordered one and a new drill battery. I drained my battery pretty quickly, plus a new battery (which came with a partial charge), and I still had to go back to the tile with my manual cleaning brush. I even tried some Bartenders Friend (abrasive) on a tile and the result is no better than the others. I'll recharge the batteries tonight and try again tomorrow, but not with much hope.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not trendy
