We bought one last year and died with us 6 months later. We bought another one in a hurry when we were in the Bahamas and things were tight. This was important to us as it puts a strain on our chartplotter for our navigation. And the second died just after 6 months. It seems pretty cheap, but if you have to buy one every 6 months, do the math!
