Bottle feeding dozens of kittens every day, kitten weaning, socializing for adoption

I live in a small town with a terrible overpopulation of cats. People are constantly bringing in boxes and baskets of little kittens that they "found" or don't want. We had NO active group or organization willing or able to help, so I took it upon myself to start a one-man effort to rescue some of the kittens. In the last three years I've found other people to help me with my "cause" and when I have the money I won't spend as much as I do now to rescue little kittens. But that hasn't happened yet! "A few cans of cat food" helps, but the kittens are deadly hungry! They can't just be "fed" when food is available! They eat all the time! But right now, I pay for all the formulas, cat food, and related products I use to treat kittens and help them find homes. Right now, every penny I spend is still out of my own pocket, although our town finally got a 501-C rescue service that still mostly deals (for now) with wildlife (traps, neutering, neutering) and overbreeding of stray cats to end, but not all babies. I personally buy boxes and boxes of canned kittens out of my own pocket, . all "stages" all "ages" and I try to buy glasses in all sizes and as many popular brands as possible to cater for each litter of kittens and their specific needs. When a kitten is adopted one of the biggest concerns is that the new family will not feed the kitten what it would eat, so I buy (and feed) a variety of different kitten foods to ensure they are successful in their new home . I have no idea how many times I've bought this food, some grain free, some for weaning new kittens, small jars for small kittens and large jars for large litters. ALWAYS left it in the bowl. Upon re-examination, I found that the kittens weren't eating any particular food. The food *looked* different from other canned/wet foods because it had a "grey sheen" and the odor was not typical of canned food. I don't know what the difference is but for some reason my kittens refuse this food. I live in Texas, which was unusually cool last week, but I couldn't see why kittens would refuse/avoid a particular brand of food. I even wondered if it had previously been accidentally frozen or subjected to some unknown chemical modification. When choosing which products to buy, I tried to read reviews and made a wise decision to stretch every dollar. I wish so much I could give this meal a super 5 star rating. but none of my children from all walks of life and ages want to eat this food. I'm really sorry that I can't really recommend this meal! I ordered several boxes of jars of different sizes. and I would donate what I have left, but if my poor orphans don't eat it, . I don't think the "highbrow" kittens will eat it either. Please buy at least a jar or two from a pet store and try it on your kitty before ordering, just in case!
