Review on ⛳️ Izzo Golf Swami Golf GPS Watch: Your Perfect Companion on the Course by Antonio Liu

Bought because my trusty Garmin S2 is finally dying after years of reliable service. As the title says, I really like this watch. It's pretty accurate. I'm at 150 on every hole at my club and the clock shows 150. The additional information on downtime and distance to and from the penalty area is a nice touch. The reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is threefold: - The documentation is a joke. The included quick start guide is fine. The writing is small, but I could read it. You have to go to the IZZO website to find the user manual and lo and behold, that's the PICTURE on the website! You can explode to make it readable, but really. How expensive is it to create a PDF download? Damn! -- IZZO "strongly" recommends updating the firmware and then updating the course before use. The software for this is a bit clunky. I wasn't entirely sure if the firmware update would work, but I preloaded the course and updated it. Why the latest versions of these watches aren't already installed on a watch that I believe is a new product is none of my business. It sometimes takes a little while to get a GPS fix on the track, definitely longer than my old Garmin. All this in addition, the watch works very well and gives me more information than my previous watch. I haven't tried the fitness or rating options, so I can't comment on that. Finally, I was blown away by how good the battery is and how quickly it charges. A typical 18-hole day ends with 3 (out of 4) bars. When I get home and charge it, it shows a battery level of 70% to 77% and charges to 100% in about 15 minutes. In comparison, my Garmin S2 has about 20% left and it takes many hours to charge. Especially in this price range I recommend this watch. Update 10/20/21: I hope you can read this far. The watch lasted less than 2 years. Bought 1/2020. Stopped working this morning. It picks up the satellite - I know this because it resets the time to Eastern Standard Time but doesn't list golf courses. Now it's useless. Discovering this on a golf course during a game this morning made it even more annoying. Will spend more money on Garmin. Hope it lasts longer. Rate this one a 3 because it actually worked for 20 months.
