This is a great product. Extremely durable and well made, it appears to be able to withstand anything but the strongest pull. I just got mine and will be posting an updated review with more in a few weeks, but I wanted to clarify two things that seem ambiguous in the reviews. First, as I said, the internal racks are steel - I checked with a magnet. The six front loops are also made of steel, very easy to use and firmly connected to the main steel stays. Second, in terms of size, my natural waist is about 31 inches and I ordered a medium size and it fits perfectly. At a comfortable level of compression, I still have about 3 inches of wiggle room to close over time. I'm looking forward to improving my figure! Update - having had the opportunity to wear it for an extended period of time, including at night, all I can say is that it still wows. Bringing it down to almost full compression over time (over time) keeps it well balanced, comfortable (well, as comfortable as you can get in a tight corset with tight laces) and looks amazing. It's very strong - beware I got nervous trying to put it on too quickly and ended up hurting my ribs - my own fault but a testament to the strength of the corset.
