Review on Soldering Helper Station with Magnifying Glass for Electronics by Hector Mak

Not what I was hoping for. The only plus point is the price.

Not stable at all. Because the base is a very small, lightweight piece of aluminum, it tends to tip over. It's almost impossible to work with without squeezing it onto the desktop - something other solutions I use don't need. I bought this particular product among many nearly identical ones because I need rubber protectors that slide over alligator teeth to protect the items I work with from scratches. To my dismay, the box was not what is shown in the photo. Alligator clips only had rubber on the other ends. The alligator clips themselves could be a bit stronger with at least twice the clamping force. Finally, the alligator clips fall out too easily when you try to twist them. They are not attached in any way and are simply plugged in. The only plus I can think of is the price, which in itself does not represent a purchase recommendation. I'll keep it because it's not worth my effort to get it back. Maybe I can use it for a higher purpose, like a doorstop or something.
