I got this for a crazy reason - our cats love to 'play' fights and sometimes go too far. The NERF Elite Disrupter Blaster is perfect for breaking up a fierce battle. I just point it in their general direction (not at them), usually at a wall or somewhere that creates noise and distraction, and they instantly dissipate, ending with any naughty ones lol. One of the cats likes to chase bullets - it doesn't scare him at all. It's also fun to play with the dog - I shoot foam bullets in the air and he chases after them. I have to keep an eye on it because he could choke on it. He doesn't try to eat or chew them, but you never know. The weapon has quite a lot of propulsion. More than expected. I would never point this at anyone or an animal as it could gouge out an eye. I would be a little tired of giving this to younger children without eye protection. It arrived in a plain brown box advertised as 'sustainable packaging' as it is recyclable. If this is a gift please note the box is not the colorful retail version.
