Well, this fall I suddenly noticed that the toilet seat looks pretty cold. Since a hinge broke on my 15-year-old American Standard, I also had to look around for a new seat. So I approached Revain to get me one. This extravagant splendor, not yet built in 24 hours, is the bomb. The gentle warmth (lowest level) feels so comfortable when you sit down, WHY should anyone be satisfied with plain old china? I'm not sure about the light. It is blue. You know what they say about blue light before sleep/night - blue screen. The blue light seems a bit harsh and there is no dimmer, just an "on/off" switch. The seat height appears to be slightly higher than the standard American Standard toilet seat. It's recommended that lower seats/higher knees be the preferred position for complete elimination, but if a person is that concerned they can get one of these stools. (Technical term, I'm sure) Very easy to install, less than 15 minutes from old to new. Time will tell the durability and ease of cleaning around the world. On the first day I thought the thing was great and by sitting down it really takes some of the pressure off. Such a luxury.
