I've always wanted less plastic and luckily I've decided to try compostable bags instead of plastic bags because of the purchasing choices we have in our small office. These work magically! Our regular plastic bottles leaked all the time, they actually have better leak resistance in our office! I'm really surprised how they take the nasty bullshit that our office is throwing out. The only thing that makes them different from plastic is that if you throw away a lot of wet stuff you will need to empty them more often as wet food/trash will ruin these bags within a few days which is a good sign (they compost!). But you still don't want to leave it there for long, if you smell your garbage outside the locked garbage can, you have to take it out anyway! Also, they tear just like plastic bags due to "sharp" debris, so keep that in mind.
