I am about to place a second order for these glasses. I go through quite a few of them, although I don't know why. All I can understand is that I have to have good taste in readers and people go with them. :) I usually keep one on my desk, one in the car, one at work, one in my laptop bag, and another pair as floats. That's why I was really surprised by the quality of my first order. qualitative. Half the glasses I bought ended up in the trash because they weren't good enough for reading and I lost my share too. What I need is a steady supply of decent glasses that don't hurt my eyes, that don't fall apart, but I won't get too upset if I leave reading glasses where they go when they're gone. That's the same source. The quality of the lens is the most important thing. I keep switching from my computer screen to something I'm reading and need to refocus. That's just not possible with many brands. These are pretty good readers as there is little at 1.5 that isn't adequately focused at 6-2.5ft. Outside of that range, things tend to be blurry, but not so blurry that it gives you a headache. While the lenses are a good size, they're still small enough to see through when I need to get a cup of coffee. The lenses have no distortion that causes dizziness when reading, and they are amazingly clear and don't refract light. These features alone are enough to buy it. But the frames are comfortable too, and since I prefer to wear an XL cap, the spring-loaded temples keep the glasses snug but comfortable. The woman will also take them every now and then, and she has the opposite problem: a rather small head, but they also hold firmly in the face. At around $5 a pair, this is a great deal and they look, feel and perform like the goggles I had that cost 3x the price.
