So my fault. I thought all beeswax is the same. After visiting the Stakich website, I saw that I did not purchase the product for the intended use, but I can use it for other purposes. THIS product is Yellow CRAFT brand beeswax and is primarily used for polishing furniture and encaustic (pigmented painting wax). COSMETIC grade white beeswax is primarily used for hobbies such as candle making. COSMETIC grade yellow (HEX shaped) beeswax is suitable for food and hobby applications such as lotions, lip balms and candles. I had to buy this for my husband's beard balm. I thought, as did others, that it smelled funny, but when I found out it was for painting or polishing furniture. !Mentioning the use of the name in the description would clear up a lot of confusion.
