This seems to be another case of companies reducing product quality to make a profit. Last year the plastic mold was strong and had a thick layer of activated carbon filters woven into it. Even a year later I could smell clean air coming out of the filter. This year's model consists of just a mold around the perimeter (the thinner paper filter can crack if it gets too wet, dirty, etc.) and charcoal granules instead of a sheet. This method doesn't work very well because the granules cover a much smaller percentage of the filter and stick together. Very disappointed. I will not order this brand again unless quality is confirmed.
