I've had a couple of occasions where the hook has come off the hanger but I've glued it back on. and most hold up well. I use this coat rack downstairs, so almost all of our jackets hang on these hangers. As I mentioned there were a couple of instances where the hook came loose and in one instance the connection at the top where the two pieces of wood meet started to loosen but the rest held up well. Again I just glued it together. I also have a couple of heavy jackets which may have helped unhook the hook and my wife also likes to just reach out for her jacket and take it off the hanger rather than grab the hanger and take the jacket off so that doesn't help. Pros: - Made of wood - Looks good - Great price - Holds up well overall for the past 3 years - Supports heavy jackets Cons: - Hooks came loose on a couple of hangers and I had to reattach them - I'm at least one where it started, fell apart at the top hinge but was able to glue it together. Conclusion: Overall I am very satisfied with these hangers. If I had more closet space I would probably buy more of these, but then again, this would give my wife a reason to buy more coats.
