Review on HOT SHOT Mens Performance Shirt by Emanuel Frison

Too Hot Men on Active Base Layers

I want to wear a shirt that will keep me warm while hunting because I'm a hot person. It wouldn't be a compromise over high performance fabrics like Specials. I thought it would be something to wear, like a t-shirt, to wear in the forest, especially in the hot season. It doesn't breathe from the pressure, and combined with the fact that cotton gets soaked through with sweat very easily, this thing turns into a smoking swamp pretty quickly when I exert myself. It's also not very good for sleeping because, to be honest, it's not very soft. I'm not sure where this piece of gear fits in my hunting wardrobe as it's useless. It sucks because the price was great and I love the pattern. However, I can't think of a single species I've hunted that would benefit from having shiny silver lettering on the sleeves over the advertised camouflage pattern. I don't like a neck that is too small at all, so the zipper is the perfect design for me. My arms are shorter for my height, but the sleeves on this shirt are long enough even for me.

Pros
  • ATHLETIC FIT: The athletic fit allows you to wear mid-weight garments over outerwear, under coats or jackets. This camouflage half zip sweater is no problem for bulking as it fits close to the body without being too tight.
Cons
  • Functionality
