As a Model 3 owner and weekend rider, I started out putting my bike in a huge trunk, but it became a problem. I saw this SeaSucker on the Tesla forums and was impressed. Game changing as far as I'm concerned. If they continue to develop this product and keep the cost down, they will become the standard for car mounts. i really like it Here are my thoughts. Advantages: Suitable for every car. I use it on my Tesla 3 but I have also used it on my Nissan Leaf with the same great results. Great quality - this thing is made in the USA and it shows. quality product. Works perfectly and lasts for years. Easy to assemble and remove - The push button pump is very easy to use and the suction cup quick release valve can be operated by anyone. Easy to use. Cons: Don't hate me, but there are some things that could be improved and Sea Sucker already knows about them. The front fork skewer for holding the bike isn't the best feature. You really have to open it up to get the forks and then turn the opposite side a ton before it gets stuck. Blocking is rough and it takes longer than any other step before you feel safe. It works, but they will improve it. Suction Cup Storage Lids - These are sturdy, work great, but are a little tricky to put on. You get it, but it should be a little easier to put on and take off. Not everyone will use them but I wear them the week they are in stock. There's no way to attach it to the car - I know it's not possible and not Sea Suckers' responsibility, but it lets you look at your car and park it in space, you can watch it when you're at breakfast or have lunch after your trip like me. It's hard to believe that these suction cups can withstand every jolt and twist. You'll picture your $7,000 bike falling over and over again in your rearview mirror. They mentally assess what is left and what can be salvaged. But after a few weeks you realize that the suction cups are RELIABLE. To ease my fears, I started putting on the suction cups the night before to see if they would stay tight. And they did. The orange area on the pump button never appears, or if it does, it's just a suction cup. It takes time to relax and just ride, but trust me. TIP: Take an old spray bottle and fill it with water. I spray the stain and wipe off and then also spray the suction cup before application. Helps create a strong seal. GENERAL: I LOVE THIS BIKE RACK. I know they're expensive, but when you consider how much you spent on luggage racks when changing cars, it's worth every penny. The only roof rack that works on ANY vehicle without modification. Think about it. If you want to ride your buddy's car, just put your bike on his roof. An amazing product with high quality, good functionality and amazing value based on years of use and adaptability. I wish I had been alone 20 years ago.
