This was my baby's first shoes, they were a perfect fit for him at 16 months old, and provided the right amount of grip for him to be walking (for the first time) outside. This was also the first time he "officially" walked without cruising around (holding something or someone). They were super easy to put on his feet because of the elastic, the material was thin enough for him to be able to flex his feet as he needed to and feel balanced to the floor, and allowed him to walk (or should I say run) around a park playground all day, being chased. Definitely recommend it to anyone with a baby/toddler looking for some comfortable shoes to walk in. They do make his feet sweat without socks, so we used them with socks.
