It's been a while since I've had a poor quality charging cable but sometimes it happens and I think this cable is an overall disappointment. I usually buy Ankers braided lines because they seem to last forever like the ones I bought as a replacement, but this time I made an exception based on the claimed bend life, length and price. Unfortunately, after 7 months of owning this cable, some "fine tuning" is now needed. to charge my phone and the cable next to the charging port showed signs of deformation. Aside from this premature failure, my biggest complaint is that the cable's overall length and rubberized texture causes it to tangle badly.
