We use this cover in an area with over 100 degrees summer heat and high winds. So that it survives the summer, we put an (expensive) tarpaulin on the trailer and covered it. The tarpaulin lay in ruins for 3 weeks. But the lid is holding up great. I am very happy with its durability and it allows air to flow through the top vents. The only mistake I made was assuming 30ft is the correct size since my pendant is 30ft long, but that is the tongue measurement. I would advise buyers to measure their trailer front to back, not including propane tanks or tongue - you may find you can get a smaller (better fitting) cap.
