The first time my son tried to put the belt on, the buckle on the belt broke off. There are two small screws that attach the buckle to the belt. They didn't work. My son is an older teenager with a very thin waist. The belt and buckle are very small (doesn't fit) and definitely better suited for a younger boy. I only mention this because older boys have a harder time finding belts for small waists. If you are thinking of using this belt on an older boy I would recommend a different belt.
