I have been knitting for 40 years and have been buying these bobbins since I knit an intarsia sweater. I had never tried intarsia, so I figured bobbins would be invaluable for keeping all the threads needed for the pattern in order. They weren't, and instead they were the cause of great disappointment. The spools do not hold the yarn securely. They always resolved no matter how many different configurations I tried in my vain attempts to keep them from resolving. If they didn't unwind, they would get tangled because they're quite wide. I learned that if you have inlays you can use clip-on clothespins or even better. it hangs at the back.
