The first motorcycle phone mount I bought was made out of thin plastic, the phone was held by elastic rubber bands. I've never felt safe with my $500 smartphone storing ALL my personal information in this thing at 70 mph. I've only used it twice. The Infinigrip mount is made of high-quality anodized die-cast aluminum. Fasteners - stainless steel. The phone is firmly fixed in the holder with a bulletproof screw clamp. I feel COMPLETELY SAFE with my Samsung S8 in this mount at 70mph. The connector has a waterproof cover and an on/off switch. I added a 5 amp auto fuse in series with the positive wire when connected to the battery. IF YOU CONNECT A NON-FUSE WIRE FOR THE POWER SUPPLY, ALWAYS ADD A FUSE FOR SAFETY REASONS! I am very satisfied with this product.
